Brad and I were invited to present Take a Picture at the official TEDxToronto after party at the Steam Whistle brewery. As a TED fan, being involved with anything that flies under the TED banner is quite exciting. While presenting at TED itself is still a bucket list item for me, I can at least say that that my work was presented to the TEDx presenters, and that feels pretty good.
As I look back, I can't help but think that September 2011 has easily been the best month of my career. In September 2011, I had artwork on display at a blue-chip gallery, I presented material at TEDx, and I gave a Talk at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. And all this is happening not too long after my work was featured on The Discovery Channel's "Daily Planet". Woah! What a ride it's been!
I can safely say that this was by far my smoothest set-up to date. After half an hour, we were done putting up Take a Picture, and had started helping other people sort out their setup issues. I forgot to bring my camera to the event itself
I just couldn't resist having my picture taken in front of the TEDxToronto banner.
